IT STARTED IN THE FIELD
Built from real wastewater problems — not a marketing idea.
HOTROD grew out of roughly 40 years of hands-on experience around septic systems, plumbing, pumping, wastewater, and the problems that show up when biology and hydraulics stop working the way they should.
That field experience shaped a different question: instead of simply adding more bacteria, could we build a treatment platform that supports useful biological breakdown while influencing the pathways responsible for unwanted gas production?
That question became HOTROD.

HOTROD integrates patented chemistry with microbial and enzymatic activity to influence biological waste degradation. Rather than taking a broad kill approach, the platform is designed to work with the biology a wastewater system relies on — supporting fermentation and waste breakdown while selectively influencing methane-producing metabolism.
That difference matters because septic and wastewater systems are biological systems. The goal is not to shut the biology down. It is to influence it in a more useful direction.
